Join Captain Vincent with 20 years experience in Antiguan waters as a boat captain, fisherman and marine contractor. As a charter boat captain and commercial fisherman Vincent holds a class one boatmaster license for offshore fishing. 

He can take you to all the best spots and some secret ones ensuring you have the best fishing day to remember.

The boat PARADOX

The boat paradox is a Lures Alura Lures 30 ft custom sport fisher with a single 200 horsepower Cummins diesel engine. Paradox is fitted with Furuno Fish Finder, chart plotter, VHF radio, comprehensive fishing rods, reels and all the gear you could possibly need for an amazing day of Hardcore Fishing in Antigua. All safety equipment is on the boat: including a life raft, life jackets, first aid, flares, etc. There is a toilet, shaded seating area and also a bed for anyone who might be needing rest.

Paradox is licensed for up to six guests with Antigua Marine Department ADOMS and fully insured with passenger liability .

On board Paradox

the emphasis is on having fun, getting involved and of course, catching fish. We will teach how to bait up the lures, set the lines, boat your fish and even filet your catch. We troll the deep drop offs for Wahoo, Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Barracuda, King Fish and Marlin. We can also bottom fish for Snapper, grouper and Shark. We can also even deep drop to 1000 feet for Red Snapper. Thought the fish do belong to the boat you are welcome to take some home for your dinner.

If you’re traveling alone and don’t wish to charters the boat, we can offer you a place at a reduced fee to join the crew for a Hardcore commercial days fishing AND GET BLOODY!

Hardcore Fishing Antigua will have water, soft drinks, beer, rum and some light snacks provided on board. Do not  forget your sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses.
Guests should arrange to bring their own lunch.

Tuna

The yellowfin tuna is among the larger tuna species reaching up to 180kg. Having yellow second dorsal, anal and fin-lets (between dorsal, anal fins and tail) gives this fish its name. The second dorsal fins and anal fins can be very long in mature specimens, often reaching as far back as the tail. The main body is very dark metallic blue, changing to silvery on the belly which has about 20 vertical lines.

Spanish Mackerel

A silvery fish, with its back often darken with bluish or olive cast. This fish has an elongated body with a lateral line sloping gently downwards below its second dorsal fin. It is primarily an open water fish, and is commonly misidentified as the King Mackerel.

Snapper

As with the grouper, there are many varieties. Most commonly fished for is the red snapper. They inhabit deep reefs, banks and rocky outcroppings. These fish tend to be in depths anywhere from 60-400 feet.

Grouper

There are many varieties of grouper, but the grouper is a heavy set fish, coming in many colours and patterns. They drift along the bottom up to 700 feet.

Mahi Mahi

“Dolphin” Is the original name of this fish, however saying “dolphin” often mistakes people into thinking of the mammal dolphin. This fish is a rapid-swimming ocean dweller, often found under sargassum floats.. Easily Identified by the long continuous dorsal fin which extends from above the eye to the base of its tail. This fish is brilliant Silver; males display bright yellow, yellow green and blue iridescent spots. Females display brilliant blue iridescence with blue markings on the end.

Blue Marlin

The speedy and high quality flesh of this fish gave this fish the reputation of highly prized in sport fishing. It is one of the largest bony fish weighing up to 150kg. The Blue Marlin, like other billfish can rapidly change colour. Most often however, the body is blue-black on top with white/silvery underside. It has a long and stout bill. Position and shape of its fins, makes this fish extremely streamlined. The blue Marlin feeds on a variety of species near the surface.

Barracuda

The barracuda is silver and has a long cylindrical body. With its large underslung jaw, and pointed teeth, it’s quite easy to identify. This fish can have scattered dark spots and darkened side bands.

Customise your trip. If you don’t fancy deep sea fishing,  you can customise a trip to include snorkelling, inshore fishing and drop anchor for a picnic lunch at green island or any of the beautiful anchorages around Antigua,  for a fun family day out on the water . or fish offshore in the morning and then go to an anchorage for lunch and some snorkelling.

Cold drinks are included on all trips though you must bring your own lunch if needed.
